- 000226: Sample number not entered.
- 000227: Unable to read sample number (slide preparation unit)
- 000232: Unable to read sample number.
- 000231: Positive ID check error

| Symptom |
- Error codes above present on screen.
- Sample tubes with error ID as ID number.

| Possible Causes |
- No sample number was specified at the time of manual preparation
- Barcode label on sample is dirty.
- Print quality on barcode label is poor.
- Position of barcode label on the sample tube is off.
- The barcode read by the sampler was different of that read by the main unit.
- There is a foreign object in the instrument.

- Does the error happen continuously?
- Does the error happen with a type of barcode?
- Are these errors happening from sample tubes coming from a specific collection centre?
- Can you see a difference in barcode printing quality?
- Does this happen to sample tubes?

| Action |
- Check the barcode label position.
- Check for dirt on sample tube.
- Re-load the samples in the right order on the sampler pool. Clean the barcode scanner on the sampler with an alcohol wipe.
