- Slide tower empty
- No smear at slide pos.
- 246052: Slide shift err
- 246053, 246055: No slide at smear dry pos 1, pos 2.
- 247080: Failed to insert slide into cassette

| Symptom |
- Error message is not executable.
- Noises or vibrations coming from slide shift mechanism.
- Broken glass slides in smear section.

| Possible Causes |
- A slide did not properly move from area.
- Foreign object present in optical path of sensors.
- Slides being used to not meet recommended specifications.

| Refining Problem Area |
- Where is the noise or vibration coming from?
- Can you see any broken slides?
- Is it occurring constantly or intermittently?
- What location is the error occurring at?
- Is it affecting any other operation of the analyser?

| Action |
- Load slide tower with slides.
- Remove foreign objects from pathway, then follow execute message.
- Remove all slides from smear section and execute error.
